There is a huge variety of options for families: from the new Baby Trekking paths that can be followed with a pushchair, to the many Theme Paths featuring information boards that describe the history, culture, nature, and legends of these places.
Imagination Path
The Imagination Path is an entertaining journey of discovery in Cimbre stories and children in a lovely natural environment, through lush mixed woodlands of beech, hornbeam, spruce, and Scots pine trees.
You return by the same route.
The Springs Path
The Alpe Cimbra is a karst landscape where water is precious and natural springs and streams have always been carefully looked after. The Springs Path is dedicated to these.
It is an easy route suitable for everyone, including families with children over 6. The route follows the farm road originally used by the “cavatori” (cattle herders) to lead their animals to water. Along the way you encounter as many as six
GREAT WAR PATH 2
A path of historical, natural, and landscape interest ideal for families with children over 6.
This route has great emotional impact and allows you to visit some of the testimonies to the First World War (1914-1918) in the Carbonare area including Elble military hospital, the Virt sector control post, and the front line trenches of Guazcovel.
The route is easy to walk, remaining between 1000 and 1100 metres in altitude with a total ascent of about 200 metres. It is mostly on dirt tracks among meadows and deciduous forest, in a very beautiful natural environment dominated by the unmistakeable profile of the Bècco di Filadonna peak.
