With more than a hundred kilometres of ski runs under constant snow cover (in the absence of snow the cannons are always ready to “blast” some), Folgaria is a favourite destination for winter sports fans.

A walk with snowshoes is always a delightful experience. But if you go at night, under moonlight, stars, carrying torches, it brings a whole wave of emotions. We go to visit the Ecken Biotope, a corner of uncontaminated nature just a short distance from the Villaggio Nevada.

Salt treatment in a mist bath/h2>
any gratifying experiences can be enjoyed at the Olos Spa, the wellness centre inside the Villaggio Nevada. You will find every variety of beneficial and relaxing treatments. You might try a detoxing mist bath, combined with reflexology and lymph drainage massage.
A sledge ride
If you have a sledge at home, bring it with you to Folgaria. One of the most thrilling experiences you will ever have is to ride
a sledge down our local sledging tracks. In Folgaria we have two: one in Costa, in the same district as the hotel, and one at Fondo Piccolo. The most interesting detail is that the sledge tracks have their own lifts so you can pass hours and hours going up and down.
Shopping for traditional local products
During your stay in Folgaria you certainly cannot miss a stroll in the centre for some shopping. There are shops selling the traditional local products of the Alpe Cimbra, so you can take our authentic Alpine flavours back home. You might fancy cheese from the Vézzena meadows, or polenta, speck ham savoured with delicious wild mushrooms, or local sweets like strudel, zelten Christmas cake, and not forgetting the countless varieties of delicious honey.
Ride an Ice Kart on Lavarone Lake
If the weather is very cold during your stay in Folgaria, find out if Lavarone Lake is frozen over. If the answer is yes, you have the opportunity to try the thrill of riding a kart at high speed on an ice track! The organizers provide go-karts with nailed tyres that can be driven by anyone in complete safety. The meeting point is the Lago Sud car park.
Walk to the frozen Hofentol waterfall
15 minute walk from the village of Guardia leads to the Hofentol waterfall, a spectacular cascade of water impressive in both summer and winter. In the winter season when it is frozen the spectacle is enhanced with an illuminated path.
Ice skating
Winter in the mountains also means ice skating. For ice skating fans there is the Folgaria Ice Rink, providing an indoor skating area of 1800 square metres. Are you ready to do some dazzling pirouettes?
A visit to the Muse museum in Trento
